The power of asking ‘why’?
Have you ever stopped and asked yourself or others why? Children always ask it, yet it seems a difficult question to ask in business. Some leaders may disagree with me and say, "I ask my staff this question all the time". However, how many times do you ask yourself 'why'?
What's this all got to do with marketing a business?
Everything! If you can't ask yourself why, should you be doing it? Why am I doing this? Is it helping my company? Is this helping a client? A typical example maybe a clients tells me that they have been advised to spend money on google campaigns and social media adverts but are getting little return for their investment. But they have forgotten to ask themselves, "why". If your customers don't know why you are selling something, they're unlikely to engage. So maybe it's time to ask yourself why your business is not getting the amount of business it deserves.
Let's keep it simple
Write down:
What is your selling?
What is your mission statement?
What makes your brand so unique?
Then ask yourself why a customer might buy your product?
You should have just answered a most crucial question. You know what you sell, your mission statement, and your brand. Now you're ready to start marketing your company by simply asking 'why'.
